Dolce is our choir for singers in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. The Olympia Peace Choir was founded in 2010 and celebrates its 10th anniversary season this year. In 2017, our Cantabile singers had an opportunity to perform in venues all across Ireland, making beautiful music and lasting friendships. Becoming a member of The Olympia Peace Choir turned out to be life-changing. The Olympia Peace Choir is not affiliated with any public or private organization, political movement, ideology or religious doctrine and takes no position on outside issues. Forza is our choir for male singers in grades 6-12.
There are no auditions to become a member of the choir—we accept people of different ages, cultures, backgrounds and musical ability. Our members have formed a welcoming community among themselves and brought their joy of music to the South Sound for thirty nine years.
Establishing healthy vocal techniques are integral to this age group as children's voices become more developed. We sing music from a variety of styles, cultures and difficulty levels. We’re grateful for the Olympia community’s love and support for our mission. Our rehearsals are a nice balance of fun and hard work. The first board of directors included Scott LaViollette, Tamara Crane, Kristi Reichner, John Feek, and Becky Liebman.A first orientation/rehearsal for the choir was held in a legal building donated by John Parr.

Cantabile performs within the local community throughout the year, and also regularly participates in regional and international choir festivals.Every couple of years our older singers have an opportunity to participate in a performance trip. Olympia London is ready for the return of events this Autumn. I’ve grown as a musician and a person, forged lifetime friendships, and made heart-opening memories as part of this talented, nurturing group.
