The problem with range is that superchargers are still not avaliable evenly across the country and Bolt EV owners can not use Tesla charging stations. The first charge would be done while I had breakfast and the second one during lunch.
It may be a good idea to take an hour break due to charging every 300 miles for a solo driver, however if there are several drivers in the car, an hour is a long time to wait. That could very well be why Kyle was able to drive a couple of more miles.
